I haven't used my nextorm USB receiver since last football season . . . .

In the interim, I bought a new laptop. However, I can't find the nextorm box with the software so that I can load it on my new laptop (I used the nextorm software on my old laptop without any problems).

I decided to try to download the software from nextorm. But, the files are .rar and my computer doesn't know how to open them.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

How about downloading WinRAR to open the ".rar".

Under the "English WinRAR and RAR release" download the "WinRAR 3.70".

Good Luck.

Sorry to be dense, but where do I find winrar? And, will my computer recognize a file with .rar?

Oops. Never mind. A quick yahoo search found winrar. I downloaded it and I now have the Nextorm software on my new laptop. Thanks!

When you try to post in the editor on the same line as the "Bold" "Italic" "Underline" buttons there it a "Globe with a chain" for links, press this button.

Enter or paste the link and press enter.

You will now see a highlighted area where you can type and change the link name.

Example:

If you type in : "http://satelliteguys.us" you will get: replace "{ and }" with "[ and ]" I can not type those since the forum treats this as a link:

{url=http://satelliteguys.us}SatelliteGuys.US{/url}

If you change the second part outside of the you can rename the link.

{URL="http://satelliteguys.us"}I can rename this link here{/URL}

Here's a example:
[URL="http://satelliteguys.us"]The best forum on the internet (SatelliteGuys.US)
:)

I hope this is clear enough otherwise feel free to ask more questions.

it doesn't help that the background is a light color of blue and when you link things its a blue link ......maybe a susgestion of changing the link color default to light green or something that sticks out.

Depends on Editor Mode

Sometimes a picture is worth 1000 words.
Wish I had that picture. :cool:

This all goes MUCH easier if you are in the Advanced editor mode.

Go to the top left of any forum page:
User CP | Control Panel Edit Options | Miscellaneous Options Message Editor Interface | Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG | Save Changes

Try that, then what Qwert1515 described, and I think you'll find life much easier.
