NFL 2009-10 Season

Miami has lost Patrick Cobbs for the season with a torn ACL.

They play the Steelers this week, who will be without a big guy on their DL, DE Aaron Smith will not play this weekend with a shoulder injury. If you thought the Steelers were lost without Troy, wait till you see their defense without Aaron Smith.

Miami doesn't play the Steelers this week, the Browns do.

Compared to the Dolphins they were. Really predictable, and they weren't doing a good job of disguising it at all.
they were also having trouble getting off of the blocks. this is why we have one of the better if not the best complete running game in the league. our offensive line can be very physical.

Yeah, the replays of the offensive line play for Miami were incredible. The Jets DL were the definition of getting mauled at the line of scrimmage.

That and the wildcat gives you an extra blocker, so any poor defensive play is very glaring, you do something to take yourself out of the play and that's suddenly +2 extra blockers for the runner, and it just gets exponentially worse from there.

yep you got it :up

Ryan's defensive strategy has become predictable, especially the blitzing. If you have a QB like Henne who didn't loose his head under the pressure, it's easy to beat.

I thought it was a great game last night. Nice to see MICHIGAN players doing well. The whole city of Cleveland must be in shock after watching Edwards play last night.;)
Paul,
Did you catch the Wolverine to Buckeye connection last night ?
(Henne to Ginn )

Isn't Troy back this week, or are they holding him out for another week ?

To underscore how bad the Redskins are:

Redskins are first in history to play six straight winless teams - Shutdown Corner - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

So far this season, every team the Redskins have played has been winless at the time of the game. According to STATS LLC, it's the first time in the history of the NFL that this has happened.

Week 1 -- at New York Giants (0-0)
Week 2 -- vs. St. Louis Rams (0-1)
Week 3 -- at Detroit Lions (0-2)
Week 4 -- vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3)
Week 5 -- at Carolina Panthers (0-3 -- Note: Carolina had a week 3 bye)
Week 6 -- vs. Kansas City Chiefs (0-5)

New York excepted, the current combined record of the rest of the 'Skins opponents is 2-22, with the only two wins coming against the Redskins themselves (by Detroit and Carolina).

Another interesting stat: The New York Giants record in their last 21 road games is: 18-3.

He's not expected to be traded, but the home that is believed to belong to Brady Quinn is now up for sale.

[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4558301"]Brady Quinn not on trading block, Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini says - ESPN[/ame]

"We're not looking to move Brady Quinn," Mangini said Wednesday. "Brady is a Cleveland Brown and that's not anything we're looking to do."

"It indicates a house is for sale," Quinn said, joking that he appreciated the free publicity in a tough housing market.

Quinn, who is not married, said he's looking to downsize from his five-bedroom property and shorten his commute to the team's training facility.

Quinn said he has not asked the Browns to trade him, and that's something he would never demand.

"I want to play," he said. "I think I'm good enough to play in this league. But I'm here right now to do the best I can for this team."

Yup, just came to post that link, he's not expected to be traded, so that was somewhat of an interesting coincidence. Doesn't mean it shouldn't happen though, they should get whatever they can for the guy that they don't deem is their starter. After his performances (against good teams) his trade value is likely far below what they'd want for him though.

Chargers have cut their starting Safety Clinton Hart, trying to show that there are jobs up for grabs if people don't start playing better.
