Victor Hedman or Jonathan Tavares?
ill go with Hedman, defence wins championships
but the islanders will need more then that, although hedman and striet would be a great blue line combo

seems campbell has been more of a dud in chicago but maybe thats due to seabrook playing primarily with keith

I think Tavares will go #1- the Islanders already have a good defenseman in Streit.

They had the NHL's weakest offense- they NEED to upgrade if they want to be competitive.

Frankly there has only been three drafts since I started watching hockey that I knew anything about the player before they were drafted.

1. Mario
2. Lindros
3. Crosby

The Wings do a hell of a job with those picks, probably better than any team.

The Islanders need to draft Tavares to put some fans in the seats on Long Island, and if they don't get that new arena soon, the "Make It Seven Clan" will be pounding on Wang's door to move the team to Hamilton.

The Big Swede Defenceman may be the better player; but offense is what brings the fans.
