NO More HD

Let's get our locals in SD first, before we move on to HD locals. I am unable to get locals OTA. They are not uplinked to any service so I have to go without, I thought everyone would have the chance at getting locals not just the top 80%.From what I see we are nearing the end of areas that they plan on uplinking leaving the fringes of this great country without. I just had to vent a little this moring.

dish loves locals, this is what they live on. your town will most likely be here before to long.

I thought Dish was eventually going to have every local DMA in the country. The way they've been doing it is adding them by what they feel is the most profitable first, so even if a DMA is smaller than another, if they think the demographics for subscriptions are higher in the smaller DMA, they add that first. After all, it's all about the $$ (and getting carriage rights signed by the stations).
