No volume control after programming remote

I have a Panasonic SC-HT800V surround system hooked up to a DirtecTV HD DVR reciever. When I programmed the remote for the TV and SSystem, the volume control no longer works with either the remote or manually on the SSystem. Is there something locked out on the unit?

try this volume just in AV mode, TV volume on D* mode

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press VOL DOWN

If you wish the SS volume in ALL devices instead of just one:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press SELECT

Just make sure when you program your AV to the SS you can power it off and on.

I tried that and I can only turn off the SS but still have no volume control.

I can remove the DirecTV remote control, but I still have no volume control on the surround system using its own remote or by turning the manual knob. Did the DirecTV remote override the volume code and is there a code that needs to be entered to restore the volume?
