Ok, I have read lots of posts in lots of different threads with people asking how much their bill will go up with the new hardware fees. I figured this thread was needed as a result.

Absolute with 722? I am still totally confused.
From what I've been told from the retailer I work for is different from what I'm reading on here.
A closed sticky would be nice to refer to, rather than sifting through the hundreds of responses from other threads.

AEP with a 625, 722K and 722K.(

Add to my costs 6 buck system DVR fee, 2 10 buck receiver increase, less 3 bucks AEP went down.

That appears to be a 23 buck increase.....

Corect me if I am wrong have I EVER complained much about increases?

A closed sticky is a EXCELLENT IDEA!

I have a ViP622 and a ViP722.

I've been a customer since 1997.

I have never downgraded my programming. In fact, for the past 13 years, I've essentially subscribed to virtually everything DISH offers short of foreign language programming.

Currently I subscribe to:

DISHNet Local Package: $8.99
DISH Network DVR Service Fee: 0.00
America's Everything Pak: 97.98
GoldHD: 10.00
Multi Sport: 5.99
PlatinumHD: 10.00
DISH Home Protection Plan (DHPP): 5.99
Leased Receiver Fee: 7.00

So, what's gonna happen to my bill?

Also, what's with having the GoldHD and PlatinumHD as separate charges? Is this correct?

So I have a 622 and 722 and AEP, means my bill goes up $13?

Hi there!!! Could any one help me figure out what I'll be expecting?? I just NOW did my 1 and only upgrade from the VERY FIRST 501'S ever to come out to the 722.

My bill currently:

DISH Network DVR Service Fee 5.98
Classic Bronze 100 With Locals 39.99
HD & Platinum 10.00
$ 55.97
Taxes
State/Local Tax (Sales/Gross Receipts) 1.06
Total Due by Jan 28, 2010 $ 57.03

What is the likely scenario I'll be paying? I only have (1) 722. I use the HD in the family room. The tv2 goes to the bedroom even tho there is HD tv in there as well.

2ndly my folks have:

Classic Gold 250 at $57.99
Locals which is I think $5(?)
(2) 501's at $5 each
(2) 301's at $5 each

Total is $82.99 before taxes.

How much you think they will be seeing in difference?

Thanks in advance!!

This is what my last bill shows. I have a 722k and a 622;

Classic Silver 200 w/ DVR: $57.99
Classic Gold 250: $10.00
Gold HD: $10.00
DHPP: $5.99
DVR Receiver: 12.00
____________________

Total before taxes: $95.98

So what will my new bill look like? I am thoroughly confused...

This is my best guess;

America's Top 250: $62.99
DVR Fee: $6.00
Service Plan: $6.00
Duo HD DVR: $17.00
______________________

Total before taxes: $101.99

That's a net increase of $6.01. Does that sound right?

So much for being the low price leader.

What would be cool is if someone could put together a javascript or PHP page where you can select what receivers you have and it would tell you how much your fees would be.

OK I have 722 with no k and a 622 why are we different? Maybe cause I pay lot more taxes than you and they cut me a break?

Monthly Charges
Jan 05 - Feb 04 DISH Network DVR Service Fee 11.96
Classic Gold 250 57.99
GoldHD 10.00
DISH Home Protection Plan (DHPP) 5.99
Leased Receiver Fee 7.00
$ 92.94

How come they only charge you $57.99 for Gold? That's what they're charging me for silver. But then, your fees are completely different than mine.

FTR, my taxes are $5.76.

Way to simplify things Dish.

It is not that hard:

If you have AEP your bill will go up $3.

For everyone (including AEP), your first receiver is still free. Your 2nd+ add to your bill:

Dual DVR +$10
HD dual non DVR +$7
SD receiver +$2
SD dual non DVR +12
Single SD DVR +$5
Single HD DVR +$3

So if you had (like me) AEP, 2 622s and a 222 it goes:
AEP +3
HD Dual DVR +10 (one included in package)
HD dual non DVR +7

= $20.

Classic Gold 250 at $57.99
Locals which is I think $5(?)
(2) 501's at $5 each

How much you think they will be seeing in difference?
1 SD DVR $5 (one 501 included)
2 SD tuners = $4

$9

Mike, I think the programming price for the AEP goes down $3, not up $3.

You also forgot to add the whole house DVR fee of $6.

It goes down but then they add $6 for the DVR fee. Net increase $3. But, if you did not have any DVRs, you would save $3, but probably a rare case to have someone with AEP and not a DVR.

There are some people where they could save $6 for extra DVRs if they did not have AEP before and more than one DVR. If you had 2 DVRs and did not have AEP you can take $6 discount for DVRs past the first one. I am basing on their existing bills.

It doesn't appear to be that straightforward. Using the information on the remarkably blurry screen caps from the retailer chat thread, I calculated my bill to increase by $6.01 from what it is currently, not $10.00.

So basically, Dish is now no longer waiving the $5.00 phone line connection fee, and my "with DVR" package cost went up $1.00, and the DHPP went up $0.01.

Dual HD DVR before $7, now $17 +$10
Dual SD DVR before $5, now $17 +12
Dual non DVR HD before $7 now $14 +7
Dual non DVR SD before $5 now $14 +9
Single HD DVR before $7 now $10 +3
Single SD DVR before $5 now $10 +5

If you had multiple DVRs and did not have AEP you will get to take off $6/DVR past the first one. They are pricing the HD and SD receivers the same, so when they discontinue the SD ones they will not be charging more. They will be able to advertise a low price point but really sock it to you with extra TV hookups. At these new prices I could see why they are increasing the number of tuners they will lease you, why not they make it up in fees pretty quick. It just really hurts the old subs.

$5.98 -> $6 DVR fee is the extent of my increase with a single receiver. ($0 first receiver)

So a $0.02 increase in my case -- I can live with that.

HD Absolute with 722k (primary no fees), 211k, 211, DP301, my bill goes up $2.02 for the DP301 which I will replace with a 3rd 211 and $0.02 for the DVR fee.

I have a 722 and a 622 and I am more confused than ever after looking at my current bill and reading threw almost all 7-800 post here on this topic. My current bils is:

57.99 Classic Silver 200 With locals and DVR
5.99 DISH Home Protection Plan (DHPP)
40.00 2 Premiums With SilverHD and PlatinumHD
-3.00 DVR Package Credit - Adjustment
12.00 DVR Receiver
$ 112.98 total

I am not sure why I am paying for silver and Platinum HD that confuses me. If I have things correct this will be my new bill for the same thing:

52.99 Classic Silver 200 With locals and DVR (went down$5.00)?
5.99 DISH Home Protection Plan (DHPP)
22.00 HBO and Showtime
10.00 HD service
17.00 Additional Duo DVR Receiver
$ 107.98 total

What Am I missing? Is my bill really going down $5.00 a month? Why I am currently paying two separate HD fees? I am Confused.....
