old DTN dish

I have an old DTN dish (measures about 43" across) offset feed. I strapped a lnbf for G*..... signal strength was unusable. perhaps someone has been here before? thought maybe focal lenght but really cant find much on offset feed formula. Any help?

Should work fine, get a new linear lnb, you know it will be good. Skew it in the holder, set your elevation and look for signal. The focal point of the stock holder should be close. Once you find a useable signal, move it in/out & skew for max q. fine tune elevation. If no signal still, move the elevation up/down two degrees and repeat. Painstaking at first, gets better as you aim more dishes.

All the DTN (Digital Transmission Network) dishes in my area were old Channel Masters. If you can post a picture, that would help. They are great for FTA.
