I am setting up a 90cm dish with sg6000 motor, primarily for the Ku wildfeeds, also have a conical scalar and c-band lnbf to play around.
I have an Azbox Ultra, a Coolsat 5000, and a Conexsat CNX-mini, receivers.
I thought I'd use the CS5000 to run the motor and do most searches.
and slave the Az to it for those signals.
Also I have a DishPro 500+ dish and lnb's, thought I'd set it up as a fixed dish, and "ghetto move" it when I want, with it connected to the CNX-Mini.

How does that sound? I've been trying to figure the best way to use all these components together.
any tips or suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, love this forum!

Are you planning on using 1 receiver per TV? I wouldnt bother w/ the scalar on a 90cm dish (personal experience), also, your Dish 500 might be too small for the majority of Ku signals.

The problem with using the CS5000 for "most of the searches" is that it can't detect the increasing number of DVB-S2 feeds. The CS5000 has outlived the days of being a good, all around receiver. Technology in the sky has changed. If you were to put a MicroHD in it's place, you'd have a much more viable alternative. You could just use the Ultra, but I don't like the Azbox series as a primary receiver.
