Ordered a 922 VIP Sling versus an old 622. Hope I made the right choice.

And, PTAT is available ALL the time in terms of all 4 local network channels on one tuner 24/7. But, the automatic recoding in the evening still needs it enabled.

I just upgraded from a 722 to Hopper with sling yesterday. Was able to order Hopper without getting a Joey. Still getting used to menu system, but am amazed at its 2 TB capacity and the ability to use one tuner to record 4 locals which means there are still 2 satellite tuners available during prime time. I set up recordings for late night TV from 3 different local channels at the same time and it used only one satellite tuner to record all of them. So far looks like a great upgrade and a better choice than the 922, since the monthly DVR fee is the same ($10), but the capability is much greater.

We've led the horse to the water...up to him to drink...or not.
