OTA has bit the Dust

I do not because of my hearing aids.
Are you able to pair your hearing aids with your Bluetooth? My Father-in-Law got that option a few years back and he liked it (as did my Mother-in-Law) because he could watch videos on his tablet without disturbing her.

I'm on the fence about getting the hopper+!!! sounds like i should get one now. we have been getting our feet wet with the joey 4 we love it it has amazing PQ over the 4k joey. the PQ is brighter and sharper. some say it's not a fast box but that has not been our exp ours has been blazing fast!!! i can watch youtubes in the bedroom and netflix now :biggrin. and the voice remotes work and not tell you some crazy sh*t like when i tell it to tune to espn and it kicks back that i am not subscribed to espn it changes over to it!!! if you resigned back up with dish youd'e be a new customer so you would get the wheels and deals  just a thought. and yes the joey 4 is very cool now maybe it's time to jump in and get the +:). i wonder if there would be any performance difference with the plus on a hopper 3 compared to a hopper with sling since the 3 is faster 🤔
You should try the plus. It's not hard to disconnect and go back-someone posted the instructions here somewhere.
I got it early on. I disconnected because
1) I already have a Roku Ultra,a Nividia Shield(which is the best) and a firestick.
2) I dont think it worked with my Harmony One remote(logitechs fault).
3)I need two outputs. I use both the HDMI output and the component output. I tried an HDMI splitter that the company that made it said output 5.1 but it did not.

Can't compare since he has the older Hopper with sling instead of Hopper 3, but I bet it is faster. I notice one thing that makes a difference that he pointed out to me. He uses an ethernet cord directly to the Hopper instead of wireless. He said it makes it more stable and it doesn't lose the internet service and causes a reboot. Before he was using wireless , the plus unit would lose internet from the Hopper and cause a reboot of both the plus unit and the hopper too. So I recommend anyone else do the same thing to make it more stable.

our joey 4 is blazing fast :).. our hopper is connected via an cat 6 cable i never use the wireless on it nor do i want to. i would have to compare em side by side though i bet it's fast since the H3 is faster... the verdict on the + has been if we have a smart tv we don't need the plus 🤔

Like I said before, they should of come out with this unit about 5 years ago and it might of helped customers stay longer. But the way things are going with streaming, this unit may not be needed much longer. I just love the way you can watch your satellite locals and cable channels and with a push of the double diamond button on the remote all your apps come up and you can easily go to them without switching inputs or using a firestick or roku. I can see a lot of older people would love it, because of the simplicity of having everything in one place.

They should came out with this about 5 years ago. while we are not streamers the joey 4 bumps the PQ up... I took a look at the hopper+ it only does 2 channels PIP at a time and not the 4 channels like the hopper 3 does. unless something has changed 🤔.. they should have made it so it could support 4 PIP like the hopper can do :biggrin

I thought about the plus. after doing some legwork googling it looks like it only does PIP 2 channel side by side!!! unless something has changed 🤔.. i'll stick with the hopper for now since it can display 4 channels!!!

I have a landline connected to both of my Hopper 3 receivers. It is VoIP through phone power. I also have a cellphone through Boost Mobile for $15.10 per month. PhonePower is setup such that any call to my landline number will ring my cellphone. I use my landline more than I use my cellphone. I only keep my cellphone tethered to me when I am outside of my home. The caller id works well but unfortunately many of my spam callers spoof their actual number. I get at least 8 calls per day asking me to change my Medicare enrollment. They all start the same way so I am guessing they are all related. I will be happy when the Medicare enrollment ends.
