OTA no working after Update

Yep, can identify with you on that. I find myself taking "cool off breaks" which I never used to do. I've found that if I stop and cool off BEFORE I get too hot, I can still work pretty much all day outside.
I was starting to experience other age related issues but started taking a variety of supplements and most have totally gone away. I cannot express how important taking Manganese is in maintaining your flexibility...that's one reason certain antibiotics can cause tendon ruptures, it saps any manganese you have right out of your system.
I take a fistful every day too. Manganese just got added to the list

Got a few minutes so I thought I would explain HOW I found out about manganese. My Wife watches a couple of those doctor/nutritionist channels on Youtube. Say down one night and in the suggestions one of them had a video up about why the rise in rotator cuff tears. This caught my interest because I run into a LOT of customers who have experienced this issue. He went into the importance of manganese and its roll in keeping tendons flexible and then explained how certain antibiotics will strip your body of manganese and can cause tendon tears. I actually had a customer who had BOTH of his Achille's Tendons rupture when taking Cipro.
I was having a lot of issues doing installs because I was losing my flexibility, especially when working in attics. I was also struggling to put my stupid boots on in the morning, bending over and being able to reach them to lace them up was getting harder and harder. Started taking manganese...super cheap on Amazon....200 tablets for under $13. Didn't seem to notice anything but kept taking them. About a month or two later I was talking to my Wife as I put my boots on and it hit me...I was bending over with NO issues. I can also work with a drill or driver over my head without it being a struggle. That was about 3-4 yrs ago. I have the same flexibility I did when I was in my 20s.
I mentioned this to a NP and she said there was nothing to it......taking manganese was basically taking snake oil. This taught me a lot about the medical profession's mindset.....if it isn't produced by pharma and needs a prescription....it CAN'T work. Evidence be damned.

Your NP needs to learn how to Google.

I take all kinds of herbal supplements for my health and my Doctor always tells me I just have expensive pee. But my test results all come back great and in range and I am 64.

Just like my testosterone, I learned how to keep my numbers up by taking Clomid 25mg once a week and my Herbal Supplement AlphaViril from HFL twice a day on weekdays. This stuff supports free and total testosterone and gives you good stuff the male body needs to be healthy.

The Clomid tricks your body into making more of its own testosterone by binding to the estrogen receptors in your brain, which prevents the body's own "thermostat" from realizing enough sex hormones are already circulating . (My labs at the end of June were 714 out of 916 possible total testosterone and 14 out of 18.1 of Free Testosterone.)

Also taking a estrogen blocker Arimidrol that prevents the conversion of testosterone into estradiol or estrogen and CDG-DIM that cleans out any estrogen in my system from recirculating in my blood. Keeps my estradiaol numbers low and my testosterone numbers higher. He was amazed at my numbers and he was the one that recommended exogenous Testosterone with TRT that would kill my body's ability to make its own testosterone and your nuts would atrophy from lack of use.

He also wanted to put me on blood pressure medicine because I have "White coat syndrome". My numbers spike in the doctors office but not on my home machine that I keep the readings on my app on my phone. I take an herbal blood pressure supplement and garlic supplements and my numbers run 105 over 69 with 83 beats per minute. I also do 40 minutes of cardio 6 days a week and lift weights three times a week. So he just reads my readings on my app and it goes back to last December and counting.

My only problem is getting my total weight down to my goal weight: would be 195. I have been stuck between 216 and 220 for a while. But I did lose 10 pounds over the summer.

My main goal is to NOT get on prescription medicine if I can help it and stay as healthy as possible to prevent problems that come with age. Which pisses off my doctor because he can't prescribe any pharmacuticals that he gets a kick back on. :smug

That's pretty much my goal as well.
If and when I DO have contact with a doctor, they always ask what prescriptions I'm taking. I say none....they look at me and then start rattling off various meds like if they mention the right one I'll say "oh yeah...I take that". I'm 62 and don't even have headaches anymore ever since I started eating some LOCALLY collected honey which has all but done away with my allergies. Turns out that honey has pollen in it, unless it has been ultra filtered like the junk they carry at large grocery chains. It having that pollen basically does something similar to an allergy shot. I can't even tell when they are harvesting peanuts anymore and that time of year used to just wipe me out.

I'm going to mine Monday. It's Heart Monitor time, and I'm going to run these by him. My LLM red-flagged all of these for various reasons, and I want to make sure my Dr is Ok with them.
I dropped 20lbs over Spring but put 8-10 back on this summer. Blame Kroger and the never-ending buy 4 get 4 bags of chips sale they REUSE to take down.
Staying off meds is my goal as well

My wife suffers from allergies and the allergy Doctor told her to eat some home grown honey and most of her constant sinus infections went away. She used to have to go to the doctor for steroid shot to dry out her sinuses and take antibiotics at least twice a year, when we both worked at the prison for those years 1993 - 2013. Since eating the home grown honey she is much better and better to be around. Cuts down on the tissue bill too.

I hope you can take them. I can remember when I was searching for an answer to my over all yuck feeling I was experiencing in 2015 at 53. My testosterone came back at 301 which is low as crap. I was tired and depressed and didn't want to do anything but work. I tried everything and experimented with different herbal pills like Nugenix till I came across what worked, that I have already outlined in previous posts. After adding Clomid 25 mg for 6 months my testosterone came back as 748 in August of 2017. Watching You tube for other doctors opinions on what I was doing and fitness guys opinions helped as well.

I have felt great since I have been doing my regime. I get told all the time You don't look like your in your 60s. But I have always looked about ten years younger than I am. But the exercise and weight lifting really helps build on general good health. I don't over do it either. I take off from the weights every other day for rest for my muscles.

Sundays - off
Mon - Arms, Triceps, Abs/Cardio
Tues - Cardio
Wed - Chest and Back, Abs/Cardio
Thurs- Cardio
Friday - Legs and Abs/Cardio
Saturday- Cardio

Everyday 40 minutes of cardio after weights or on rest days. Combo of 10 minutes of treadmill, 10 minutes of Elliptical or 10 minutes with the bike for 20 minutes total. Followed by 20 minutes of walking track.

Sorry to go BACK ON TOPIC, but is there any further useful info on this OTA thing? I have two hopper 3's that got the loverly h711 update and simultaneously OTA quit working. Tried the poweroff unplugging 5 min's and reinserting the dongle and still nothing. Dish's coders suck, fix one thing break five others. I spent an hour checking my OTA antenna and cable and then I thought, my stuff is in great working order, why didn't I think of dish first when something breaks! I can see why they have multiple bankruptcy's going, I think this is it for me, full streaming here I come.

My OTA is not working anymore
Is this issue fixed yet? I just got a workorder from Dish and when I contacted the customer he said his OTA wasn't working anymore. I told him it was a software issue and would only be fixed when they debug what they bugged.
That explains why they set his work order up TWO WEEKS from now. They were hoping the problem would be resolved. The pain in the butt thing is they leave dealers like ME to break the truth to the customer and THEN the customer is mad because they were lied to by a customer svc rep.

Still not working for me. Will dish eventually have a software update for this?

Not to bash Dish but dang it, they deserve some bashing on this. They send a work order out to ME when they KNOW there is nothing I can do except waste my time....something they have NO respect for.
The customer I mentioned actually thanked me for telling him the truth rather than blowing sunshine up his rear. I've had a solid policy ever since I went into business in 1984....I won't tell a customer a lie and if I don't know...I'll admit I don't know. A lot of people have this strange aversion to admitting they don't know something. I don't see what the big deal is...nobody knows everything.

Nothing yet. If it were me, I'd move my OTA connection to the TV itself for now, just so I still get the channels
