Pictures of Ice On Dish

When going outside this morning to check on things due to the ice storm that hit Northeast Ohio last night I took some pictures of my dish that is basically totally ice covered now..


Note:I took these with an IPod Touch so I am not sure how good these will be..Would it be wise not to try to move the dish with the motor until the Ice is off?

In the spring of 97, my BUD was encrusted in around 4~6 inches of ice. Major power lines fell and was out for 73+ hours. And for all of those 73 hours and some, was a full blown blizzard. Sunflower LP heater, gas grill,(just outside the back door) and a battery operated TV, and all was good. Did snap a few pics, but danged if I can find 'em.

Probably wouldn't hurt to move it, if the motor is working. I would break the ice off the front of the lnbf though, might give you a signal!

You can move the dish. My dish and lnb was frozen today. So I took off the lnb because I needed to check it and it works, I will rehook it up tomorrow.

I tried it later Tuesday, it was fine..

Lost power at our apartment Tuesday night (9:45) and spent most of yesterday at a Shelter at the Canton Civic Center..Massive Ice Storm hit Stark and surrounding counties..worst ive ever seen..Finally got to come home at 10AM today..

Tim, We missed most of the latest ice storm. We got about a 1/4" of ice. Most of it went to Indiana and areas towards Dayton Ohio. I've had enough of the snow this winter too. Maybe a couple of more inches Saturday again. I'm gonna love spring when it gets here!
Tired of clearing a path to the dishes. My dream house would have a heated driveway and heated dishes lol....Blind

I've had enough of the snow this winter too.

I'll take all the snow Mother Nature has to offer until April, then she can turn the dial to Spring and not look back.

Ive gotten to really hate winter lately, though in this case I'd rather have had several inches of snow than what we ended up getting.
