Please help with Sony kdl-40S4100

having a problem with my satellite input dish network vip722 hooked up to hdmi 1.

The tv has no problems with other inputs I can switch the satellite to hdmi 3 it goes away.

anyway don't know correct terms to use so bear with me

when the screen goes black like changing channels or the rotating wallpaper on hddvr etc,it leaves an imprint on the screen like it leaves a slight mark on the tv of what was prev.on screen.Is there anything I can do to fix this?I can try to provide more details if needed.Please help

Only on HDMI 1 input, odd. Have you checked for a update from the sony site? They do release software patches periodically for their displays, you just load them with a usb flash drive (assuming your model has a usb port)

don't know what could be causing this problem.

I think it's wierd because it only happens on hdmi 1.

anything else I can do?

I would say try calling sony. Never heard of your issue on any display.
