Accckk...roof mounts! ;) They work for some people but I've had a nasty taste in my mouth after I helped repair a roof from a leaking roof mount.

Where do you guys find these old-ball OTA antennas?

here's the latest picture from July. Things have changed temporaily. Top dish for AMC 4 has been taken down for SBS 6. There's now 2 on the patio for SBS 6 and AMC 9 in pots. I'm getting 2 more dishes from Sadoun here in December to replace the 2 in the pots with 1 meters. Small dish on IA 8 will be replaced and the dish up top will be put up again, but maybe for G4 instead of AMC 4. Small dish will be kept for parts until I'm allowed to put up another pole.

Somebody raided all the homes with Primestar dishes, eh?

I would feel weird sitting on your patio. Two feelings come to mind... someone is watching/listening to you. Or if you sat to long you'd start glowing (yes, I know this isn't true).

Yes, I originally had the Dish 300 on the side of the house, but that wouldn't work for receiving 110 with a Dish 500 in the same location. I live in a tree-filled neighborhood, so the location on the roof was the only place on my property (other than the front yard by the street) that had a clear shot of the southwest sky was the roof.

When I drilled the holes for the mounts, I put two of the holes into the rafters and used roofing tar to fill the holes and coated the bottom of the mount to minimize the chance of leaks. I also mounted a backing plate in the attic beneath each mount to give the lag bolts that weren't in the rafters more purchasing power.

Mine came from Spain, via England.:D

Here's me and my friends on a camping trip (just kidding, I will upload my real photos soon) now that's the kind of portable motorized FTA system I'm looking for!

MPEG4 dish? It's just a dish that receives signals. No matter if they are analog, MPEG2, MPEG4, and MPEG6. ;)

OK, here's some photos of my dish farm. The Dish Network stuff is decorated for Christmas, the FTA are not yet.

My turn. First pic is my neighbor's place.

Then my switches, and my dishes (except for the test rig).

Last two are my lines of sight to the wings. :)

24" dish used to get 121 & 129

I have a Motosat (mobile Direcway) that points at 117 on my 5th wheel RV. It also has LNBFs for 110 & 119. I have the attached portable 24" dish to get 121 and 129. It is painted as a No Parking sign to make sure no one at a campground parks in front of it! I have a Dish 311 with a Diseqc switch to control the 110,119,121 & 129.
