Does anyone sell a plastic-coated Ku-band dish, as opposed to stamped metal? And are there any prime-focus Ku-band dishes available?

Raven (previously Channel Master/Andrews) has offset composite reflectors. PrimeSat has a transparent offset model. The hardware cost is significantly higher. See "plastic" reflectors on China manufacturer listings, but never see them at shows or in retail markets.

Small prime focus design reflectors are available from factories, but they aren't sold in most retail markets because of the lower performance.

So with two "smaller" dishes of the same size and parabolic accuracy, the offset will perform better?

I'm guessing the shading of the feed arms and scalar would be one factor that would negatively affect the performance of the prime focus dish...are there others?
