On 7/17/08, my TiVO stopped recording everything on my to do list, something would only record if I was watching the channel that was being reocorded. Yes, I know that if you record two things at once you have to be watching one of the channels. If I do watch one thing that's being recorded (and only one thing is being recorded), it won't let me change the channel, no matter what I do. Someone help, I want my TiVO to work again.

Try a reset. You might just have a cranky unit. I remember that happening to me a couple years ago and resetting it fixed the issue. It could be caused by something else today, but can't hurt to try.
