I recently bought a Sony KV30HS420 HDTV and have been watching cable on it and its great.

I hooked up my dvd player and all of my widescreen movies are displayed like they are fullscreen with the black bars on the left and right sides. When I change it to "Full" mode on my tv, it streches it out but there is quite a lot of picture missing from all sides. I tried it with my PS2 to make sure it wasn't the dvd player and I get the same results. I set them both to "16:9" mode.

I have both my computer and cable box hooked up to my tv and they both work fine, for some reason dvd's give me problems.

I have tried everything to fix this problem and I cannot seem to get it. Does anybody have any ideas?

What input are you useing? S video or component? If svideo try the component or hdmi inputs

Well I tried it with my dvd using component and when I tried it with my PS2 I used composite...
