Program Remote to Control the Genie C31-700 Client

How do I program a RC65X or RC66X to a mini client? I have tried holding Select & Mute until the light blinks twice, then entering 9 6 1 to clear, then entering 0 0 0 0 1 to link the remote but, it will not work.

Broke down and called customer service....Code that you need to use is 987....

SOMETIMES it pays to call customer service!

The 987 code will reset the remote, that's all it's doing.

It is a PITA to get the 65 to sync with the mini-client in IR mode. It took me a while to get the RC71 to work with the mini-client in our bedroom. I wanted the smaller remote in there, since we have a Harmony 650 for the Living Room. You can look at the manual for the RC65 at http://www.manualowl.com/m/DIRECTV/RC65/Manual/234996

Is it a c-41 or c-31

The c-41 only work with the new style remotes when doing RF
