What says it?
Perhaps you are connecting to the wrong router, e.g. your neighbors. Always make sure you changed your routers SSID and do not broadcast it.

the PS3 message boards has a lot of information on connecting to the network. It still couldn't help my problem though :/.
I keep getting that it can't find the access point a lot of the times, but when it does find it I have like 80% signal strength. I don't know what else to do with it.
