Got to buy a new servo motor for my polarotor.
Is there any difference in various servo motors or do they all come from the same place with different names on them?
The prices I've seen vary from $10 to $38
Do you get anything more when you buy one that says Chaparral on it?

This article suggests putting a capacitor in the circuit
Installing a Servo Motor on a C-Band Satellite System - Stallions Satellite and Antenna

Anyone do that?

I don't think there any difference, the serve motor main purpose is switching the horizonal and verticle polarity.

I put on a servo motor I had in the junk box from a previously rescued dish, and it is working, but I had to go out and physically rotate the feed to a new position. I could not get enough travel out of the new/old servo. I would get up to -90 but still could not get Q levels as high as I was getting. So I went out and rotated the feed horn about 30° to 40°.

We'll see what happens when the temp drops tonight.
