Question about my Directv Remote..........

This might be a dumb question but I was wondering how do you know/or how can you tell when your batteries need replacing in your remote control? Thanks!

When it stops working or doesn't respond to button pushes.

sadly raoul is right. When it dont respond then its time to change batteries

My remote will not power off thee DVR, it does controls the tv fine, but the one button off should shut off the box too, but it don't.

Try holding the button a little longer.... thats what works with mine.

I think that happens when your batteries are all but dead .... as in this is your last few hours ?

Mine does similar things. Some functions will work, others won't. I just change batteries and all is well.
