Question about scrambled channels

Is there a way(NOT A HACKING ?) to get certain channels without a package subscription? For example, if I want Sci-Fi, the Cartoon Network, Discovery, TLC, etc, is there a way to subscribe for just those channels?

On EDIT: also can it be done using the Pansat 3500s with the smartcard?

If you have a c band dish and a 4dtv / analog reciever with videocipher II module it can be done. As far as I know there is no way to do it using the pansat 3500 / smartcard in the USA.

Yeah, that's what 4DTV is all about. The costs are very reasonable, as you can subscribe to just a few channels.

Example: MTV, VH1, Nick, TVLAND ... 24.99.... per YEAR.

The catch on 4DTV is... you need a BUD.

Working on the BUD now . Its in the back of the truck, needs a little work cleaning it up and finding a new feedhorn, but should have it working in a month or so.
