Hi guys,

I'm so what Confused  with this lnbf. I have the DMX 741 and is working fine with my 6 footer. The only thing that I could not get was decent ku. So I setup my old 1M Ku dish and presto.. C and Ku the hard way. I'm using a DiSEqC switch to control both dishes and for must part the setup works pretty good. Since I was bored at home, I'm retired and my wife works all day,... but now that I think about it I would have been bored anyway.....back to my story. I got the DMX 242 today and within a fews minutes I had that sucker ready to go until I turned my receiver on. No signal l:mad: ..... bummer and some other choice worlds that I will not mention on this forum. I went back and checked the cables and I did not see anything wrong with them. I have the lnbf hooked up directly into my receiver. Is my lnbf dead or is it my brain?

Thanks,

Confused in Florida

turn (skew) the LNB 90 degrees
For some reason the 242 (and may other C-Band only units) the skew is off by 90 degrees. The 741 its right (0 skew is like 12:00 on a clock)
Turn the skew so its at 3:00 or 9:00 (visualize a clock). See attached pic. My fixed dish is at 99W which is like a 7 skew for me in MInneapolis

Thank you Ice that pretty much took care of it. Just one more question, what is your F/D ratio for your 6'? I have mine set on 0.40.

Mine I think is set at 38 or so....SInce I ghetto move my dish I really dont look at the numbers anymore...Its all rial and error for me :)

So turning it 90 degrees fixed the issue?

cool.

I have yet to find one of these voltage LNBF's for C-Band only that isn't off by 90 degrees
The C/KU units are all skewed properly but the C-Band only ones always seem to be off
