I ended up re-ordering D* through an authorized retailer and getting a much quicker install date (see post below about D* customer service). I got two HD DVR's because my wife claims one in the bedroom and I claim the one in the man cave. My question is simple - will the two HD DVR's be limited in what each can record simultaneously or will we both be able to record two programs at the same time? Never really thought about this before now and hope I didn't waste money on the second DVR (first was free).

Thanks guys!

If you have two lines running to each DVR you can record two things at once. So, with two lines running to two DVR's you can record four things at one time. I hope I answered your question.

Both DVR's are independent of each other. What ever you can do on one DVR, you can do on the other at the same time.

As stated, they are independant of each other. What one is doing doesnt matter as far as the second is concerned
