When I had my Voom installation they used my existing Dish network Dish
and dual LNB pointed at 61.5 orbital location. The installer told me that Dish
network equipment was superior to vooms and that I would get better results.
My signal strength has been as high as 90 and I seem to have less PQ issues
then most of the voomers on this post. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

That sounds like some hog-wash. The installer just didn't want to have to remove an existing dish in order to reinstall another of the same type. Not like that's a bad thing but he didn't need to make up stuff like that. BTW did he leave the Voom equipment with you? If you are leasing you will need to return it all back to Voom when you are done with the service.

Sounds like your installer was just trying to maximize his $$ return on your installation. As long as he left you the equipment I wouldn't worry about it. I had my installer use my existing 24" dish and had him leave everything he brought.
