Added a third U-bolt today. Now the dish is almost 100% locked down and won't move left or right

I'm becoming a regular fixture down at the hardware store

Now you need to go back to the hardware store and buy a tap and die set and get rid of all washers. lol just kidding, They work!

I got it on Amazon; its the Perfectvision NPR6B. I got 8 blocks from Menards to load it down. Its great for a patio; I have 2 on mine

Can't say how well it would work on TOP of a patio; its heavy. But sits well on concrete.

Thanks for this information, My patio has a little pitch but not that bad, just wanted to make sure it does not move with the wind, I had to get rid of my 1.2 dish because the wife needed the area to plant tomatoes, , so my only alternative is to set one smaller dish on top of my patio.

No problem. And you won't have to worry about it moving in the wind, its a big beefy mount.

Tunder For your 1.2m motorized project, I suggest a NPRM with the larger post. A 2 3/8" post will work better with the HH motor.

Used to sell a lot of these for motorized installs. A neoprene "pitch pad" placed underneath the NPRM will keep it from moving/rotating.

Use the non-centered pole as they can be rotated to an angle that prevents the rotating dish from hitting the stack of blocks.

Ah, if using a 1.2m then you are right. My 2" pole on the NPR6B is just slightly too small; that's why I have all the washers on the U-bolts.

Have you looked at the dishes Satelliteav sells on Ebay? I have their 90cm and 1.2m dishes and they are excellent.

Thank you guys, I didn't know that the 90 cm dish was only 12 pounds, this is perfect for my patio and away from my wife's view,, lol, Well if the mesh dishes from EU are to pricey with shipment I will get me this 90 cm, what is the best standard LNB out these days?

I use Geosat Pro SL1PLL's or Avenger LNB's in my setup; if you order a 90cm from Satelliteav's Ebay store, I believe they give you one for free. It's dish + LNB for $99, free shipping

The real (and surely cheaper) solution is to order the appropriate bolts from said hardware store. Most have overnight access to fastener distributors if not sooner.

Threading the shoulders off of bolts weakens them and makes them much more prone to rust.

When snapping the bolts is an issue, ask for grade 5. The default grade for carriage bolts and all-thread is grade 2 that is only half as strong as grade 5. Grade 5 has three raised marks on the head of the bolt while grade 2 has none.

Sure will, I kind of having second thoughts, they do not have packing information on how well the dishes are packed, if the dish is damaged I don't think they will replace it and would a pain to return it.
Let me ask you this, your 90cm dish which satellite is the farthest you can scan.

Moved the reversible pole on the non-penetrating mount to the 2" side, then installed the mount and dish. It's a bit unwieldy doing it alone, but I finally got it on there.

Instead of the U-bolts. I have use muffler clamps in the past and they work really well, I removed the u-bolt from the clamp and purchased 2 long screws long enough so they will stick out about 1 or 1.5 inches at the other side of the dish mount, I found out it secured it really well and never had a problem, I am planning on using these clamps on my next dish.
