Recording HBO Free Preview

I do not subscribe to HBO but noticed a movie I would like to re cord during their free preview this coming weekend. However when I attempted to set the recording, I received a message that I've never seen before indicating that I could not record because I didn't subscribe to HBO. I've set recordings of free previews in the past so this must be a new requirement. Unfortunately, I will be away during the free preview and can't watch the program live.

Can anyone suggest a way around this or am I stuck?

One of the last updates this year changed it so you can't setup advance recordings for channels you don't subscribe to. We are just have to wait until the appointed date and setup the recordings once they become active on our receivers.

You can no longer pre-schedule recordings of "Freeview" premium channels.
You might try using the directv app or website to set the reccording once the freeview actually starts.

last time i tried the website, after the start date, it didnt work. had to do it at the dvr
