Closer to reality, a house in my in-Laws' neighborhood is just under 10,000 sq.ft. and sold for just under $1,000,000. It has a nice lake view, too.

At the risk of turning Yet Another Thread into a Tesla discussion () Nevada may have some agreement with Tesla since it's the home of the original Gigafactory. Cities may get a deal on using Tesla patrol vehicles in their Police Departments where it makes sense. I don't know what your fuel costs are or your electricity rates, but it could mean driving a Cybertruck 100 miles costs one-fifth to a tenth of what an ICE patrol vehicle would cost. Cruising around in stop and go driving is what EVs excel at.

I have always understood that LV electric rated were relatively low due to Hoover Dam.

When we were in CA it was cheaper to rent the house out and put a solar farm on the roof and to install a geo thermal system than to pay power bills!!! it took 7 years for the payback though!!! I enjoyed the power company paying me . I want my next house to be off grid!!!
