If it's with an HR24 or newer, they practically set themselves up. Which receiver/dvr do you have?

I'm guessing one is set to ir and the other to rf. Go into the menu of the dvr and change whichever it is set at.

I already have one remote that works I am using the other remote for the tv upstairs which isn't working if I change the Ir to RF the one remote that is working the other one may not work. Thanks for your help

the remote that is NOT working:

move the switch to D* mode (if its not already)
open the door by the access card
get the last 6 digits of the number on the sticker above/below the access card
press mute+select on remote, light at top will flash twice after about 2s
press 9-6-1, channel up, light will flash twice again
put in the 6 digit number you got from the sticker

new remote should be programmed now

if that fails, use the working remote to go into settings > remote > advanced > ir/rf > choose rf from the drop down > program new remote from on screen instructions.

Can this info be somewhere in a D* Sticky so people can find it, we use to have a Sticky for stuff like that.
