Rumor Alert: Channels Changing Packages

Actually, I think no one is working on the Tribune dispute with Dish. There is no real sense of urgency: you have your indoor HD antenna set up, don't you?

Just so we are on the same page, it was a joke. However I see the antenna offer and reluctance to give discounts this time a sign things are not going well, but not that it isn't be worked on.

Amazing how "concerned" people are about something that a) could simply be delayed for any reason at all and b) is basically going to be something "free" for people (it's not like people are paying for something and not getting it !).

Just hoping FS2 comes to AT120 and/or AT200 before the end of October, the end of my one year Multi-Sport free trial from the 35th Anniversary offer last year. Not ready to let go of the Bundesliga just yet.

With all of these channels leaving the AT250, does it seem like Dish is beginning to phase out that package? If FS2 and NatGeo Wild move, the only other worthwhile channel from that package (in my opinion, of course) would be beIN Sport. Other than that, it's primarily movie channels that are already located in an add on package. Perhaps, they might expand AT120+ even further? Make it less obsolete and have it be more than RSNs plus FS2, FXX, Longhorn, and the SEC Network?

I do sense some kind of change coming not necessarily just the Top 250 and AEP and I think some of the recent negotiations (not locals) have been about that.

Yep, Charlie is going to be working this 4th of July weekend ironing out the final details. Right.

So FS2 not moving at all now?

Looks like the Fox Sports rolldown is happening today - https://www.mydish.com/perks/new-channels Under the "new to packages" section it says Fox Sports 1 is now part of AT120+. Doesn't say anything about Top 120 though. Maybe they will update it later.

It's not surprising that those Fox Sports channels are in AT120+ and above. The "+" generally refers to add'l sports channels (I know there are a couple of exceptions to that, or used to be).

True. If they put Fox Sports 1 in Top 120+, it would be in 120+, 200, 250, and Everything Pack. Now they just need to fix Fox Sports 2 - that is already in Top 120+ but not Top 200, then it's in Top 250 and Everything Pack.
