Samsung BD-P1400 problems

I have owned this player for about 10 months (purchased new from Newegg) and am tired of dealing with it. Firmware is upto date and unit is connected to my a/v receiver via HDMI. Since I purchased unit, I would estimate that any blu ray disk i have player in it, maybe 1 in 3 would playback without problem. All the other times it would lock up or freeze during playback. It makes no difference whether disk is new or a rental from netflix. It does allow you to advance to the next chapter after the freeze and will play the video but there is no audio. The unit has to be power cycled before it working again. Suggestions? It has a one year factory warranty for parts, 90 days for labor.
I have looked on Samsungs forums for help but their forums are bloated with porn ads.

I pretty happy with mine. The only problem I have is that sometimes the picture starts to tilt a few degres. It does this in about 3 seconds intervals until it becomes a blurr. It only happens in about 1-10 discs and haven't noticed it in a while. Maybe firmware has fixed that.
