I reead in one of these forums that some one was experimenting with one of those dishes. I am not sure of the results.

On Maui, the standard installation consists of two 1.2 meter dishes in order to receive the five satellites. The larger dishes are to ensure that we have enough of a signal margin for stable and consistent reception.

Those larger dishes are still susceptible to rain fade when we get those heavy storms.
