SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Discussion - Week Ending 06/23/2007

HDSKD channels are for HD RSN and HD PPV sources. They may have upgraded the Encoders on these muxes to handle the 6 channel scenario.

Can you explain a little more John? Does this mean we might see more HD RSN's????

We've had our HD RSN up for about a month now in Indy and I have not seen one single thing on it. Nothing but the HDTV logo.... the music's kind of nice though.:D

Yes, Tp 17 at 110 is "empty"!

Still has signal though. :)

All you PQ junkies can talk about 4 MPEG2 HDs per TP now. :)

I think once E* goes through the first phase of getting rid of all the old non VIP HD boxes they will see if they have to offer a better deal, or just convert the rest of HD channels to Mpeg4, even if some subs total refuse to upgrade.

Well, well, well. A whole CONUS transponder doing nothing! Room for those six HD channels Charlie mentioned (asssuming the new MPEG-4 encoders). I'm guessing they won't be RSNs.
