I'm helping a buddy set up a 3-LNB dish at his seasonal camp. He has an older SD Directv receiver (circa 2007). We get about 93% signal strength on 101W and about 83% on 119W. But 110W has 0% signal. Is that correct for a non-HD receiver? LyngSat shows one transponder still active on 110W.

There are active transponders and you should be getting signal on t8, 10, and 12. There isn't any programming there though.

If you have a good signal on 101 just select 18" round single LNB dish on the set-up menu. That will pull all programming and guide from 101.

I've done this with older boxes and it works well.

Depending on how far north in NH he is, his locals may come from Portland ME which requires the 3 lnb. That's probably why he has that lnb.
