Searching for Signal problem

Ok, I have a reciever that keeps searching for satellite. But when i do a reset from the menu, it wont search anymore and i will get programming. But then after alittle while it will search for signal again.

Now i hooked the reciever up in another room that has a line run to it and it works with no problem

im wondering if i should go trace the wire and see if maybe i might have to change a barrel (as i installed this reciever after my intial installation) Because he put all new barrels (the ones that are blue inside) on

or maybe it could be a connector has they are twist on connectors

saunds like a need for a new line.

start from the swith, out side to the inside of your house, fallow that line and look for kinks or just run a new line from out side and if works fine thats it, you need a new line ............... good luck
