I've had a technician look at this for several hours and the hypothesis is that this is a software issue, but here's what it's doing. I have a slimline dish and 3 receivers (2 DVR's and an HD Receiver).
Receivers:
HR24-200
HR20-700
H20
The issue is this: the HD signals for many channels (Espn, Espn2, many others) are showing a 771 (searching for signal) error, but the signal meters say the signal is great. On the H20, the channels tune in after about 3 seconds and are very clear, but on the DVR's they show a 771 error for about 45 seconds before tuning in. This is highly annoying when trying to change channels or return to a channel you just came from.
It was suggested that I do a new software download on all receivers, which I did, but the same issue persists. I noticed this issue in june and I've been unable to get it resolved since. I'm wondering if there is a way to roll back to a previous version of software to see if maybe that solves it?
There is one thing that may cause an issue, but it has never been an issue before. I have 4 TV's connected to the H20, but they're never used at the same time.
Any ideas anyone has are greatly appreciated!
