A new customer I signed up wanted The Western Channel a la carte. The CSR gave him the Select Choice even though it didn't have anything he wanted. Now the customer plans to drop the HD service and buy The Western Channel and the rest of the Stars package.

Yes,

He got the HD TV set because all the guys in the bar thought the HD sports stuff was cool. Then he discovered he couldn't receive anything without an antenna...then he discovered the games were from satellite services.....then he asked me if I could get him the Western Channel. The HD feature was never important but he did have this new HD TV.

I think he has to decide soon what he wants. He is not smart and the Directv program packages are complex. Adding the equipment requirements just overloaded his system.

Through your two year contract, and it's iffy at that when your two years is up.

I've never seen it published, I tried google a few months ago and had no luck.

The only post I ever found spoke to having about half the channels that choice has, and there were "mainstream" channels that were not in it.
