Where i am, there´s no phone line. Do i need the phone line at least for the setup or not ?

You will need a phone line for the initial setup, but I don't believe that you need to be connected to the satellite at the same time.

So, you can go over to a friends house, hook up the receiver to a TV, make the call, then bring the receiver back and hook it up to the satellite again.
