Lately for some reason, at least once a week my HD-DVR just won't turn on, the lights won't even come up, so I have to reboot the system by pulling the plug out and plug it back in, its kinda annoying, sometimes it doesn't even work in 1 try, it takes about 2 try's to make it work.
Do you guys think my HD-DVR is defective?
Usually I have the HD-DVR running about 6-8 hours a day, if not more.

I own an HR20-700.

I wouldn't put up with that. I'd say call up D* for a new one.

Either:
-A) Try a CE release to see if that helps
-B) Call D* and tell them to fix it

Either way you shouldn't need to pull the plug every few days to get it back.

Hi rad, I readed on the dbs forums about CE, I just don't feel comfortable doing it I guess I will call up DirecTV and see what they can do about it.
The crappy part is I will lose all the DVR recordings...

I have had the same problem with 2 different receivers. Replaced both.
