solarization from dvi imput

just recieved a RCA 210 from D, hooked up to my new Samsung dlp6163 with the dvi cable supplied. Got a "picture" thats looks like a '60's solarization print! removed and hooked up componant video cables---great pic!! Question??? where do I look for dvi problem?? RCA? Samsung? cables? anyone got any ideas?????

Not too familiar with that model Samsung but is the DVI port HDCP compliant?
