I bought the DVD today and am watching it now.

I think the PQ is on par with Season 9 and 10, very very good for DVD. (I am watching on 40" sony XBR, using the cheap magnavox BD player for the upconvert).

I am really enjoying watching this. Of course, it began with a preview for SGU, but I'm not going to start that debate all over. :)

Yes, the same, but different. Although after watching so much SG1 lately, it felt the way it should look. Much better PQ, much better special effects. And a few scenes that just come off better.

Wish I got it for $15, but it was still worth the extra $5.
