State of HD-Lite

I am going to be a new DirecTV customer with the lnb5 and H20 box. What is the status of HD-Lite. Is it possible they are beginning to move away from this with the new satellites?

FYI...I was on the phone with DirecTV customer support and he said they don't alter the HD signals. They transmit them in the state they recieve them. I guess he was blowing smoke.

he was blowing smoke, and we wont know till they throw the new sats up there, but as of right now, Mpeg4 from the sat is hard to tell a difference from OTA ( there are numerous theards on this) all I can say is sit back and enjoy television, and MODS close this thread before it gets out of hand.
