Streaming 4.2.2 via Phone to TV

Today's goal is to receive 4.2.2 video on my Edision, stream it via wifi to my Android phone, then cast that video back to my big screen TV all wirelessly.

While I look for 4.2.2. to test with, I have tried the accomplish the above with FTA standard HD video. I'm receiving a football game from 97W C. This works. Image below is taken off the big screen TV but being relayed from the Edision receiver to the phone and back to the big screen TV.

Now to find 4.2.2.

There is a CBS mux in 4:2:2 on both 93C and 97C

Ok, I found 4:2:2 and my silly mistake. At first, I couldn't receive CBS or ABC on 97W. Why? Skew was backwards on the LNBF. How many times have I done that? With correct skew, both are strong.

So below is 4:2:2. from CBS as received via wifi on my Android phone. But...when I try to cast it back to the big screen, all I get is the "circling wagon" indication on the TV. No video is received on the TV. I guess the bandwidth or processing capacity of the Android is insufficient.

Well at least I can use my PC to decode the 4:2:2 and connect that via HDMI cable back to the big screen TV. So there is a solution to watch 4:2:2 but I must use a PC physically connected to the TV to play it.

Any android phone don't have that kind of CPU power to handle very rich 4:2:2 data payload, unless you have almost Star Trek technology level style phone technology to do the job!

The Android phone (or PC) decodes the 4:2:2 stream fine and plays it locally smoothly. But the phone can't do that, it seems, plus also cast it back to the TV. It could even be a bandwidth issue on my local house wifi.

Or the possibility the 2.4 Wi Fi band is over crowded when frequency hopping to find empty RF channel. You might want to upgrade to multi band system 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz.

5 and 6 GHz bands are less crowded...

2.4 GHz wifi band is empty. We have no neighbours as far as we can see. It's just us.

Are you running microwave oven at the same time while measuring your Wi Fi's signal strength at the same time?

In that case your microwave's TX PEP +or - 1 Kw running in resulting not able to see you other neighbors signals strength out there.
