Streaming 4.2.2 via Phone to TV

The inability to cast from phone to TV is not related to bandwidth, it relates to your TV's inability to process/playback the 4:2:2 HD stream...
Once the stream goes to your PC or phone and can be viewed on those, I thought they would simply be able to cast back to the TV something simpler for the TV to interpret. But it doesn't work.

So I'm simply sitting my spare laptop PC beside the TV and connecting them via HDMI cable. That's my 4:2:2 decoding solution and it works fine. Before enabling the PC for a given 4:2:2 channel, I check quickly with my phone to see if the channel is worth viewing.

Yes I too can stream 4:2:2 HD from Edison to smartphone and PC (Chromebox running Windows) and both devices can play content normally. You can't cast from your phone to TV because your TV media player or streaming device can't playback the 4:2:2 HD file and your phone CPU likely can't process both receiving and sending the 4:2:2: HD stream.

I can view 4:2:2 on my iPhone using the GTShare app that goes with my V9. I have not tried casting it to the TV (yet). I might try to AirPlay the video to my TV via a Roku.

I just fried my meter, didn't I? Time for a new one?
