switch fried?

well i hooked up my switch today, been unhooked for a while, wanted to hook up my 18" and my 31" and when i was moving the motor i lost power to all of the spots except the 18" so i hook up the 31" to the 18"s spot and nothing i dont get it? i had the meter hooked up is that to much of a load on the switch? im shutting off the reciever for a while kinda seemed as when i was changing channels the switch kinda stopped responding till i reset the power. its basically a new switch.

also wheni switch the settings to the big dish the level goes down to 30%

Make sure to turn off the receiver (using the switch in back) when removing/adding switches

did that even shut it off for a few hours

oh you dont need to it for that long. Just enough while you swap stuff out.

-Make sure to put the switch BETWEEN the motor and the LNB's
-make sure the DiseQc port is set correctly in your menu setup
-I assume the 18" is fixed, so leave that motor settign to "Disable" or "off". Just the 31" needs the motor

o well that could be why i have it reciever switch 18" port 2 motor and big dish port 1, i prob fried it now
