The Joey 4s are very good. My only small complaint about the Joey 4s and the Plus (which I only had for a few days), is that the output is flagged as HDR 100% of the time. This will force your TV to use the same HDR settings for SDR content, which can result in a less than ideal picture.
Ideally, when watching SDR content, you will likely not have the TV at full brightness, just for one example. This will save wear on the TV. Your color and contrast settings should be for the best SDR content.
When watching HDR, content, you may want to allow the TV to use 100% of the backlight/brightness. The HDR content will limit that if the content is not supposed to be bright.
The solution to this issue is to set your TVs HDMI setting to enhanced, etc.
only when watching HDR Content, and make all of the setting adjustments independently for for each content type. A minor inconvenience.
The alternatives are to either adjust your picture settings every time you change from HDR to SDR, or just put up with the same settings for both types.
I suspect this is what most people will do, not understanding the difference.
