Terrible call to DiSH

I just tell them it's completely dead and won't do anything to avoid the flowchart of checks they have. I hung on to my ViPs too long, should have switched to a Wally long before I did.
That is the only way to avoid the trouble shooting crap.

I did however do that with a Genie and DIRECTV tech support, and the idiot sent me another power supply.

Called a day later and tried the same thing and the person in tech support said the replacement power supply didn't arrive yet. I had to wait another 2 days to continue the game

Sometimes I think they think of anything not to send a tech or replacement receiver. SAD

We had a genie client get struck by a power surge to the point it blew a hole in it.. they sent an idiot right out.. Most of the dtv techs looked like they were in there misery and very unhappy there was a very few worth there weight in gold. and the clown that answer the phones.. who in the hell hired them just threw em in chairs and gave em DR suess books to read from they was more confused than i was!!! it took one idiot 2 hours to activate the gemini box!!! worked that night next morning the activate deactivate screen popped up :mad: :mad: :mad: o_O. it's funny how they know you didn't get the power supply yet they never gave us tracking numbers what so ever... one time they shippedus an hs-17 with the wrong power supply :rolleyes :mad:

They'll send you a power supply to put in? I don't remember whether Echo even did that back when all the switching power supplys were going bad in Tracker 5's.

One thing for sure I need to get these older rx's on good surge protection

yes dtv will send out power supplys.. they sent us the server and power supply though. but at that time someone put the wrong power supply in the box as it would not fit into the server unit.. we just sent it back
