Well got my latest DISH bill and what I thought would happen did ,when I switched from Dvr advantage to WITH dvr packs and added HD+plat pack. The $3.00 dvr credit is no where to be found. So it looks like DISH only gave it to us for 6 months. So now the full $8.00 price hike from last February has been fully implemented. This was like a price hike in August . I lost the bundled discounts I had with Dvr advantage when I switched because I no longer get to count the hd pack , top 250 and Hbo as 3 premiums and I lost the dvr credit as well. So now my bill is higher by $3.00(no dvr credit) + Hbo is now counted as $15.99 , so 5.99 higher =$8.99. So by changing to Hd + plat pack for $10.00 I made my bill go up by almost $9.00. So very creative way of getting my money by DISH.

So to combat this sneaky way of hiking my bill in mid year, I now lowered by programming to: Classic Silver , saved $10.00, and I will drop HBO come Septemeber when True Blood is over and will save another $15.99. So I guess I have to thank DISH for "saving" me $25.99 a month come next month. Thanks Charlie.

There was a computer error and some did not get the credit, like me. It was resolved. So, call instead of making assumptions.

I got the credit this month. If I was the OP, I'd call (or better yet chat and have a record of the conversation) and look into why no credit.

Thanks for posting this. I almost did the chat thing to get platinum but didn't because of this very thing. Sorry about your bill.

Well I talked online to two different online csrs and one on the phone about my two separate accounts and got 3 different answers:

1)Yes, I would see it in my credits and every month . Hepseba T. (03)

2)Yes , but not on this bill , would see it next month's bill. Jason S. (03)

3)No , not at all it has been done away with . Julie L. (07)

When I asked for a supervisor for clarification , I was promptly disconnected. Thanks Julie. So now I am trying the ceo@ echostar .com email. Lets see if he can clarify the rules . I even mentioned the satguys.us website and the different replies from some of the members to this question and I am now waiting for a reply. Will report back then.

My parents bill was generated on 8/15. It reflects the changes to HD&Platinum, and dropped the $3 DDA discount. I will contact Dish about it. I'm pretty sure the said it would last 12 months when they originally announced it.

It looks like the deal was not as good as what some of us thought, with some losing $3 DVR bundling fee, some paying more for premiums, others not getting their discount for annual programming automatically going to monthly instead which is like an automatic charge for another month of service.

Dish Network done this on purpose and it was very sneaky and clever of them. If I was not under contract I would switch to Directv as the annual programming discount was one of the reasons why I stayed plus them switching me off of something I already paid for in advance which was not right and dirty!

I have lost the dvr discount for now, but i also have 3 chats where the rep says it will be on my next bill. We will see. At least for me i am still saving money.

Now i save $10.00 for the platinum charge.
I Pay 2.99 more for Showtime= a savings of 7.01 per month
if i lose the 3.00 dvr advantage, i will still pay 4.01 less for the same programming.

How do you get Showtime for $2.99?

My first CSR Chat over the issue yielded nothing. I had to call. I suggest NOT using Chat for billing matters, rather call and ask for a billing specialist.

I changed to HD+Platinum last month. I just checked my 8/13 bill and I still have the $3 credit. I also lost the HBO+HD bundle discount as I expected to.
