Great start to the show!! :) ‘The Flash’ Crossover To Feature ‘Arrow’s ‘Biggest Surprise of All Time’ http://screenrant.com/flash-arrow-crossover-humor-surprise/
Beginning with The Flash in an episode titled “Flash vs. Arrow” (explained by producer Andrew Kreisberg by revealing that “you put the winner first! Wait no, it’s a tie. I’m teasing”), the network has given Arrow fans a major reason – if they needed another – to tune in to The Flash as well:“We have one of the biggest surprises on Arrow of all time on The Flash episode. And both episodes are really important for Barry’s growth… There’s a line in there that I will spoil because every time Grant said it, [I cracked up]. He goes, ‘When I fight you, it is literally like you’re standing still.’ And what’s hilarious about it is the unbelievable joy with which Grant delivers that line.”

Arrow Star Stephen Amell Is Not Happy About The Flash Casting http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Arrow-Star-Stephen-Amell-Happy-About-Flash-Casting-67982.html
The DC Cinematic Universe is a strange beast, at the moment. While Zack Snyder tries to prepare a movie audience for the arrival of The Justice League, members of that group are thriving on television screens across the nation on a weekly basis. Will there be brand confusion when it comes to a character like The Flash once DC and Warner Bros. try to roll out a Flash movie that’s separate from the TV show? One member of that exclusive community sure thinks crossover should be happening, and soon.Stephen Amell plays Arrow on The CW show of the same name. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Amell stood up for his CW colleague, Grant Gustin, who plays Flash on the new television program. It recently was announced that We Need To Talk About Kevin star Ezra Miller would play the Flash in DC’s feature film version of the superhero (due in theaters in 2018). And Amell kind of thinks that’s Bullsh!t. When asked if he thinks he should be playing Green Arrow in an upcoming DC movie, Amell candidly said:Yeah. Of course. And I feel like it should be Grant [Gustin] doing the movie."

Examining the First Four Episodes of The CW's 'The Flash' https://games.yahoo.com/news/examining-first-four-episodes-cws-201600432.html
When the first images of Grant Gustin in the Flash's costume were released, some people thought it wasn't bright enough and were concerned the show would have a darker and more dramatic tone. Thankfully, that isn't the case -- not at all. Yes, there's obviously plenty of drama -- it's a mandatory element in most plots, people -- but, for the most part, The Flash has been uplifting and overwhelmingly fun. Sure, there's tragedy, death, and darkness spilling into Central City, but it isn't being handled in an overly dramatic way and it doesn't take away from the mostly optimistic atmosphere. Even when Barry Allen suffers defeat or fails to save someone, they still find a way to turn the story into a positive experience. He loves what he does and it doesn't feel like a burden. He's growing and leaning from his failures; they aren't ripping him apart on the inside and making him grim.

The emphasis on being inspiring is easily one of this show's strongest qualities. No matter how dire the situation may be, The Flash always finds room for levity and puts a more positive spin on many of the emotional developments. They won't throw comedy in at a completely inappropriate time, but they do put Grant Gustin's charming personality and likable characters like Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) to good use. For example, instead of having Barry mope and feel bleak about his situation with Iris West (Candice Patton), the writers use his powers or sprinkle easter eggs into the dialogue for more comedic beats.

'The Flash' Custom Character Cards Reveal Clue to Harrison Wells (Exclusive) "He's hiding more than one secret" http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/flash-harrison-wells-character-card-748014
The Flash's Harrison Wells is becoming more of a mystery with each passing week.
As The CW's Arrow spinoff continues its freshman run, Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment created a series of seven custom-illustrated character cards for each of the regulars, including one for Tom Cavanagh's STAR Labs head. The Hollywood Reporter exclusively premieres the card (illustrated by comic-book artist Ivan Reis) that details Wells' background and connections to Barry Allen (Grant Gustin).Though Wells' blurb doesn't reveal anything particularly eyebrow-raising, it does offer one big hint at just how dangerous and mysterious he may be — "he's hiding more than one secret."After Wells killed Simon Stagg (William Sadler), revealed an in-depth knowledge of Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) background and a knack for predetermining events (see: the lightning storm that transformed Barry into the Flash), what else could be up his sleeve?
