I just read that Comcast is dropping Cinemax. I wonder how this might affect the Dish/HBO stalemate?

Things to make you go "hmmm..."I would say quite the opposite. Dish starting to remove the placeholder channels shows that Dish is finally giving up on ever bringing HBO and Cinemax back. Look for the HDNet Movies on 300 and 310, the info channels on 301 and 311, and possibly even the Netflix app on 302, to all be removed soon. No word yet on what Dish may be putting on those channels next, but my money is still on Starz.

We moved to HBO NOW app. Running it on AppleTV. Main reason was for final season of GoT. It works really well. IMO, after time, more people will move on to other methods, so their negotiations may be for naught and fall through.
